2ο Φεστιβάλ Χορού Αποδήμων Ελλήνων

Στον πευκώνα του Λόφου Φιλοπάππου, στην καρδιά του Αρχαιολογικού Πάρκου της Αθήνας, οι απανταχού Ελληνες θα ζωντανέψουν τον πλούτο της μουσικοχρευτική μας κληρονομιάς, στις 16 Ιουλίου και ώρα 20:00.

     Το ιστορικό Θέατρο “Δόρα Στράτου” είναι ο φυσικός πόλος έλξης και το διαχρονικό σημείο αναφοράς του Ελληνισμού για το χορό, τη μουσική και τη φορεσιά.

    Θα πάρουν μέρος ελληνικές ομάδες χορού από κάθε χώρα εκτός Ελλάδος, με πρόγραμμα της επιλογής τους.

     Οι χορευτές θα συμμετάσχουν επίσης σε σεμινάρια, συζητήσεις, προβολές, εισηγήσεις, εκθέσεις. Θα παρακολουθήσουν παράσταση του Θεάτρου «Δόρα Στράτου» και θα επισκεφτούν λαογραφικά μουσεία με ειδική ξενάγηση.

     Στις ομάδες και ατομικά στους χορευτές τους θα δοθούν αναμνηστικά διπλώματα (όχι σε διαγωνιστική βάση), βιβλία και έντυπο υλικό. Η σπουδαιότερη όμως ανταμοιβή τους είναι η ηθική ικανοποίηση ότι έδωσαν παράσταση μέσα στο προπύργιο του ελληνικού παραδοσιακού πολιτισμού.

     Με το φεστιβάλ αυτό καταδεικνύεται ότι η ελληνική μουσικοχορευτική παράδοση καλλιεργείται σε όλα τα μήκη και πλάτη της γης, με τον καλύτερο τρόπο.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Municipality of Athens

     The historical Dora Stratou Theater in the Archaeological Park of Athens is the natural focal point of Greeks all over the world as regards dance, music and folk costume.

     In July 2007, in cooperation with the International Dance Council CID UNESCO, the Dora Stratou Theater will hold again the Festival of Dance in the Diaspora for Greek companies based outside Greece.

     Dancers will take part in workshops, discussions, video projections, lectures and exhibitions. They will attend performances by the Theater ensemble and visit museums with guides specialized in dance history. Culminating the event, participating groups will present on stage a program of their choice.

     The Festival is designed as a sharing experience: no competition will take place. Ensembles and individual dancers will receive a certificate of participation as well as books, records and educational material. But the most important benefit will be the opportunity to perform in the bastion of Greek traditional culture, under the Acropolis.

     “Anapale 2007” will confirm that Greek music and dance tradition is being cultivated around the world in the best manner.
